What inspired you to become a teacher of programming and information technology?
"Nothing inspired me. It's just that when I was a student, the circumstances came together and I enrolled in this specialty and subsequently decided to work on it."
Where did you enroll to study as a student?
"In Veliko Tarnovo. Major Mathematics and Informatics. Very nice specialty!"
What technologies and tools do you use in the classroom to make lessons more interesting and engaging?
"If I started listing the interview would be 10 hours, but here are a few of the tools I use:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Presentations
- Canva
- Smartest
- Quizzes "
How do you keep your knowledge and skills up-to-date in such a rapidly evolving field as information technology?
"By reading articles about the subject as well as using ready-made resources from other teachers."
Do you read articles every day?
"Yes. They now line up on their own in my feed and I get resources curated just for me."
How do you motivate students to be interested in and learn programming?
"With personality and with interesting and practical tasks most of the time."
How do you deal with students who have difficulty understanding the material?
"I explain the material anew and give practical tasks for easier explanation."
Do many students have difficulties in the practical part?
"A lot, but I try to help them as much as I can."
What has been your biggest success in your teaching career so far?
"Every single student who was not interested, but after one class is."
How do you spend your free time outside of school? Do you have any hobbies or interests that are related to programming or technology?
"I don't have time after school, everything is full. I also have no hobbies. I can't afford such extras 😉."
What advice would you give to students who want to pursue a career in information technology?
"To learn, to dare, to work and to be extremely innovative."
